BF Roo and his Hens

Our daughter Emily's beloved Salmon Faverolle chicken, Tiny, from a flock of about 40 chickens of various egg laying breeds. Tiny enjoys going on hikes, riding in the UTV, modeling chicken clothes, and sharing ice cream and sodas with Emily.

BF Roo and his Hens
BF Roo is a Bielefelder rooster and one of three roosters on the farm. He nearly lost his life to a fox and now enjoys staying close by to the house with some of his favorite hens.
Jake and Quirky
Jake is a Royal Palm turkey. Quirky is a Broad Breasted turkey. Their offspring are called Midget Whites. Quirky loves brooding and raising babies - and not just her own species! She has hatched chicks, ducklings, and goslings in addition to her own poults. Jake is a docile tom turkey and totally in love with Quirky, following her wherever she goes.
The Buffs
The American Buff geese are our original goose breed. They are the busy bodies of the farm and must know everything that is going on. They think their opinions are most important and are great at making that well known to us and all the other animals.
Monroe, Rosalee, and Daisy
Monroe and Rosalee are a mated pair of African geese. They are mild mannered geese and enjoy carrying on conversations with us. Daisy, our only adult duck, is their best friend and the trio always stick together.
The Ducks
Hatched August 22nd, these ducklings are male and female pairs of five different duck breeds: Pekin, Cayuga, Blue Swedish, Rouen, and Silver Appleyard. They are now all grown up and will start laying eggs soon to hatch some ducklings of their own.
